Yeh, was definitely one of the best over there.
Balmy night, everyone up for it. Ground was rocking.
Ended up in the Vic after. (It was like the Carpenters is now).

Gets like that..all becomes a haze as time marches on.
You recall a tear up in Wigan ..when in fact it was likely in Preston.

Zest, that's it. It used to be called Hollywood's I'm sure. I was referring to the 2004, but I was in there again for the 2005. Fucking weird being in for the football

The 2005 away leg was on a Tuesday - when we played there in 2004 it was on a Saturday.

The nightclub they piled us into everytime we went up there was called Zest. I genuinely have no idea why I remember that.

What a night a throw back to the 70/80's. Parked up the car about half an hour before the game at least a mile away and you could hear the singing the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, I thought yep it's gonna be a good night. When Dailly scored the winner off his bollocks the Bobby Moore stand shook so much it felt like an earthquake.

One of the few times we drunk at the Duke before and after the game... must of been there until midnight before getting the choo choo home... there was some people that had missed their trains and were staying the night on the streets

I'd been taking mushrooms the night before and was still a bit tripping. My ears were ringing the next day from the noise, not had that at football before

I don't remember much about the first leg either. Probably something to do with being herded off the train and straight into a nightclub (hollywoods)? by the old bill iirc. Pretty much locked in until kick off, nothing else much to do other than DRINK

Only a hero scores with his balls.

Goals have gone in off my arse once or twice, but testicles are a completely different ball game.

Is that the game where Christian Dailly scored with his bollocks?

Nice one Kaka the great advantage about watching these vids is they take you onto other similar ones ie the following year in the play offs again, this time at Ipswich where we won 2-0, that was also a fantastic night

For three years under Pardew we had some exciting times probably the best in recent memory

Good god, that long ago?!

Watching this makes me realise I really don't remember anything about the first leg at all!! What a night that second leg was though - I was a bar manager at the time and had it on, had people trying to take the Piss telling me that I'd turned the volume right up in the big screen just because it was us, when I'd actually had to turn it down as the sound from the crowd was so immense

Missed it but was at the last game ever there which ranks my favourite.
The Coventry LC semi was the other one that stands out for me.
Wasn't at the Frankfurt game.

Unbelievable atmosphere that night.

Hairs on the back of the gregory stuff.
Every time it's mentioned!
